Shipping Policy

*****Our dispatch and lead times are occasionally subject to change, and can vary depending on the volume of orders we are dealing with as well as unforeseen staff shortages, transport issues etc. In these instances we will communicate this as clearly as we can, either in a message at the top of our homepage or at checkout before payment is taken. Your order is important to us. We make every effort to deliver your products as quickly as possible.

Items ordered for ‘LOCAL DELIVERY’

At Briants we offer a Local Delivery Service at very competitive rates. All Local Deliveries are made on our own fleet of vehicles by one of our professional drivers. Orders can be placed in store, over the phone or through our website. If ordering through our website, please select local delivery at checkout and the correct delivery charge (if applicable) will be assigned based on your postcode. Please note delivery of outdoor items such as fencing are ‘curb-side’. For fencing or building materials, please let us know if you require notification in advance of delivery, if we receive no instruction, goods will be delivered asap and left in a suitable place at your property. If we are delivering items such as garden machinery which can’t be reasonably left outside, then we will always make contact prior to delivery.

Items ordered for COURIER DELIVERY OR POSTAGE

Orders placed Monday to Friday before 2pm will generally be shipped within 24 hours where possible, however there may be instances where this is not possible. The carrier used is determined by the order weight/volume and value of the order. Small, low value items will be shipped via Royal Mail. Large volumes or high value orders will be shipped via DPD, Fedex or other courier, on a tracked and signed for 48 hour delivery service (weekdays only). There may be some instances where circumstances beyond our control mean that courier/Post Office isn’t running to time, such as broken down vehicles or heavy traffic etc. On some occasions when customers are not home the couriers may return goods to us, deliver to a neighbour or a local pickup point at the discretion of the courier company. A signature/photograph will be required for items that are not posted via Royal Mail standard post so please provide a contact telephone number and delivery instructions where appropriate.

*In the unlikely event that we have an issue with the product or stock level we will contact you as soon as possible. In all instances a confirmation e-mail will be issued notifying you that the item has been dispatched.

Items marked as ‘Restricted Delivery’

Some items on our website will be marked as ‘restricted delivery’, this means the item can only be shipped to UK mainland addresses and we will be unable to ship to Scottish Highlands, Ireland, Isle of Wight as well as other UK Islands etc.

Items NOT Available for Shipping

Some items are not available for shipping, for example gas cylinders or pre mix fuels. These items can however be purchased in store and must be transported from site by the consumer. Likewise, bulky items such as fence panels are only available for click and collect or local delivery (on our own vehicles) and due to the physical size of the product can’t be shipped UK wide by our courier.
