ROCK EXOTICA Pirate Screw Gate Carabiner

Description

The pirate is a solid robust carabiner with a unique screw-lock. The aluminium parts of the carabiner are anodised, without which, the parts can be susceptible to corrosion over time, this will also give the mechanism a smoother spin. The gate is also designed with an enlarged flange, which will prevent the sleeve from ever moving past the end of the gate, as with other designs the sleeve can wear past the last thread of the gate and slip off.

Having identified areas where edges of the gate and carabiner can hold up ropes and lanyards, potentially leading to dangerous cross loading, the pirate carabiner has been designed with smooth edges to minimize the risk.
