Description
The presence of too many deer in a particular area can lead to trees, woodland flora and wildlife habitats being damaged. With our comprehensive and innovative range of deer fencing, Tornado has long been the first choice for forest managers looking to protect and preserve their valuable forestry.
The species of deer that need excluding is one of the key factors that need to be considered when specifying a fence. Different species demonstrate unique behaviours when approaching a fence, choosing either to attempt to jump or push through the fence. High Tensile steel mesh fencing from Tornado provides a more robust solution than plastic netting and is more cost effective than individual tree guards.
HT13/190/15, our full height 1900mm one-piece deer net features the traditional, cost-effective hinge joint which enables the netting to be turned out or cranked for use in special applications. Spacing between the horizontal wires increases higher up the net, this makes the net denser nearer the ground, preventing animals from pushing under the fence. Additional line wires can be added to the top of the fence for extra height.
The net is manufactured with high tensile wire which strains tighter than mild steel and so requires fewer intermediate posts, making it quicker to erect. The spring like properties of a high tensile wire help the netting stay tight, keeping maintenance to a minimum.
