They come complete with pairs of side by side mortice slots (25mm x 75mm) that are ready made to insert your cleft rails. A real time saver, these cleft posts need no cutting or shaping so you’re ready to go.

Post and rail fencing has continued to be very popular in farms and other rural locations. It is a simple fencing system that can work in a number of situations. If you are securing livestock you can attach some wire mesh to the chestnut post.
